TrainKothai gives you free live train tracking across Bangladesh — but no tracker is perfect. This page explains exactly where each train’s live location comes from, how reliable each source is, and what you should not rely on it for.
Bangladesh Railway has no official live train tracker, so we built one. TrainKothai is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Bangladesh Railway, the Ministry of Railways, or any government body — it is an independent project built by passengers, for passengers.
All train names, numbers, and schedules referenced here are public information published by Bangladesh Railway. Any trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services being described.
TrainKothai blends three sources. Every live train location and time you see comes from one of them:
The site labels which source is in use for a given train, but the distinction can be subtle. Treat every figure as an estimate unless a live GPS signal is shown.
Schedules change, trains are cancelled, platforms are reassigned, and crowdsourced data arrives late or not at all. We make a genuine effort to keep information current, but we make no warranty that anything you see here is accurate, complete, or up to date.
Always confirm your departure time, platform, and booking directly with Bangladesh Railway before you travel. Do not rely on TrainKothai alone for a journey you cannot afford to miss.
